SLOOP chair
The ergonomic design of the back of the SLOOP chair provides long-lasting comfort. The loop-like shape of the upholstery offers comfort and a fresh design.
SPOON chair
The starting point of the design was to create a light, easy to store and ergonomically thought out chair. The narrow but sturdy backrest leaves room for hand movement. The chair consists of a pressed plywood seat and a metal frame.

Sloop Slim is designed to complete the Sloop chair collection. The Slim model is lighter in nature and repeats the design characteristics of the Sloop collection.

Competition work
The theme of the competition was the innovative use of domestic thermal pine.
SODUS is a stylish furniture set made from heat-treated wood intended for outdoor and indoor use.

LOOTA bed chair
Competition work – Second prize
The Habitare 50 design competition was a product design competition where goal was to find furniture product families suitable for Isku’s industrial production and sales. The chair adapts to the need: The furniture is designed to adapt from a studio to a mansion and vice versa. The furniture is multi-purpose and can be modified, for example, with the help of modules or other additional features.
Loota is a bed chair for accommodation service providers and the home environment. Loota offers the user a full-sized spare bed, storage space for bedding and sofa-like sitting comfort. With different surface materials and fabric models, Loota can be perfectly adapted to different usage environments. Loota consists of end pieces and their opening bottom plates, a bed linen box and padded mattresses. The bed linen drawer that opens from the inside of Lota offers ample space for storing bed linen. The padded mattresses spread out into a mattress.

LENKKI mobility aid
The Lenkki has been designed for the premises of the Service Center at Espoo City in cooperation with the users.
Lenkki is a mobility aid that can be placed in public spaces for easy use. Lenkki’s structure is sturdy, because the center of gravity is located in the middle of the device. The push handles are in the direction of travel and thus give the user a grip that supports the whole body and agile maneuverability. The tube frame encloses a loose and protective space for the movement of the user’s feet.
Lenkki, which turns around itself, is also well suited for tight spaces. A steel frame goes around a loop, whose curved pipe bends to protect the movement of the wheels and prevent the device from getting wedged in tight spaces. The foot of the Lenkki station is a thick steel plate and the station can be placed freely in the space without a separate attachment to the floor.

VISIIRI ad stand
Competition work – First prize.
Student Union of Tampere University’s Visiiri magazine.
“What is your view of a wonderful and appropriate distribution rack for Visiiri magazine? Whether your idea is an eclectic splash of color, a practical Scandinavian one, or something completely different, you shouldn’t miss out on participating. We don’t have any standards.”
The magazine display rack is made with a steel structure and it stands at an angle. The rack is laser cut from a steel sheet, folded and assembled by welding. The rack is stabilized with additional weight placed inside the structure, for example sand.

PUUMA carpet
Competition work
The theme of the competition was wood from the sauna through the washroom to the dressing room, and the goal was to encourage designers to think about the versatile use of wood in the sauna and bath spaces.
The wooden pieces are joined with a rubber scoop that is stapled to the pieces to form a carpet. The carpet can be made by the meter.
By combining different types of wood, surface treatments and widths, a pattern is created for the carpet that is suitable for bathrooms and dressing rooms.

GAALA coat rack
Competition work
In the spring of 2021, Summanen Oy organized a design competition, the aim of which was to find a stand-up coat rack suitable for the Monena brand for industrial manufacture and sale.
The design and color options of the Gala coat rack bring to mind evening dresses and proms. The overall look is light and it is easy to move and takes up little floor space. However, the steel structure is sturdy, so it is well suited not only for the home but also for public spaces. The Gala coat rack has five hooks, and it’s easy to hang an evening dress, coat, with or without a hanger.

LAPA coat rack
The Lapa coat rack is designed to complete the Sloop product series. The starting point is a coat rack that fits in a small space. The distance between the hooks of the rack depends on the installation method.

MENDOTA lighting series
Competition work
In honor of its 30th anniversary, Innolux organized a design competition in which new innovative product ideas were sought for the Health and Core collections. Core for the insightful contemporary design of today’s designers, and Health especially for bright and red lights with versatile health effects.
The Mendota lighting series is designed for public spaces and home environments. The lighting cylinders 135 x 70 mm are made of painted steel pipe. Hook pipes 12 mm pass through the frame pipe. The orientation of the foot and table lamps is locked in the desired position and length with a finger screw in the foot dress.

KAMA cargo bike
Competition work
In the competition, the task was to design a new concept for an electrically assisted cargo bike for the Finnish bike brand Helkama.
The competition work has been based on the idea that the load is placed behind the bike in separate removable boxes.

TOOB’s clear design is suitable for everyday and party settings. TOOB stays securely in place and the glass fits under it. With TOOB, you offer tap packaged drinks beautifully as part of the table setting.
